Der Patchworkfuss mit Führung Nr. 57 unterscheidet sich durch seine seitlich montierte Führungsschiene vom Patchworkfuss Nr. 37.
Er eignet sich dadurch besonders für Patchworkarbeiten mit 6 mm (1/4 Inch) oder 3 mm (1/8 Inch) Nahtzugabe. Auch andere präzise Nähtechniken, die eine exakte gerade Naht erfordern, profitieren vom Patchworkfuss mit Führung Nr. 57. Der Anschlag wird dabei direkt an die Stoffkante oder Nählinie angelegt. Dadurch werden beim Nähen gerade Abstände und Linien erzielt.
